It’s a coastal oasis of pristine beaches, sea cliffs, rocky coves and islands, wetlands and forested hills.
The Rota Vicentina, a trekking trail that leads 350-kilometres north from Europe’s south-western tip. It’s perfect for day walks as well as shorter and longer hikes;
you can choose to follow the coast on the Fisherman’s Trailor, or detour inland to visit villages on the Historic Path.
Odeceixe beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on this stretch of coast with clean white sand and clear blue-green water.
And because the River Seixe meets the sea here, you can rinse off the salt in fresh water after your surf.

OUR FAVOURITE BEACHES TO SURF
ODECEIXE
Odeceixe beach has many waves on the ocean side, perfect for surfers and body boarders. This peaceful beach smells of rock roses. The top of the stone stairs is a perfect spot to watch the sunset and the landscape.
The river Ceixe in the middle of the sand sets the border between the Alentejo and the Algarve.
AMOREIRA
This beach lies at the mouth of the River of Aljezur, which forms a lagoon system of great natural beauty. Along the river you can walk through the sand dunes or hide from the wind.
At low tide, small pools are formed in the sand, which are a lot of fun for children.
ARIFANA
This beach lies in a beautiful shell-shaped cove, sheltered from the cold north wind. There is a small group of fishing boats and the beach is long and narrow, being bordered by high black cliffs.
Arrifana is a popular beach among surfers and body boarders.
MONTE CLERIGO
At Monte Clerigo beach you can swim in the various natural pools that form amongst the rocks and are revealed as the tide goes out. Inland are some impressive sand dunes, lying on either side of the beautiful valley. There is a fabulous panoramic view to be enjoyed as you walk down to the beach.
SURF & YOGA RETREAT
Enjoy the all-inclusive surfing and yoga package holiday. We will supply all the equipment, transport, great food and drinks, great surf and also yoga tuition.
The program provides you with all the skills you need. The groups are kept to a maximum of 8 people per session so everyone will get a chance at one to one tuition.
