The southwest coast of Portugal is a surfer’s paradise.
Our instructors are local surfers certified by the Portuguese Surfing Federation, all of whom have lifeguard licenses and a huge knowledge of the region’s beaches and its conditions.
The classes are made with a maximum of 8 students per instructor.
Instructions are given in English or Portuguese. For children, instructions can also be translated in German or Dutch.
We have for you huge selection of surfboards in various sizes and brand new wetsuits, upgraded every year.
Conditions are perfect for beginners because the sandbanks and the small waves in the white water provides comfortable and safe surfing conditions.
After a few lessons you should be able to stand up on your board and in time you’ll be confident enough to go outside (surf in the ‘green’water, further into the sea) with your instructor.
Welcome to the most unspoiled part of the western Algarve: the Costa Vicentina.
This wild coastal nature reserve stretches from just north of Odeceixe, our home beach, to Sagres at the south-western tip of Portugal.
It’s a coastal oasis of pristine beaches, sea cliffs, rocky coves and islands, wetlands and forested hills.
The Rota Vicentina, a trekking trail that leads 350-kilometres north from Europe’s south-western tip. It’s perfect for day walks as well as shorter and longer hikes;
you can choose to follow the coast on the Fisherman’s Trailor, or detour inland to visit villages on the Historic Path.
Odeceixe beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on this stretch of coast with clean white sand and clear blue-green water.
And because the River Seixe meets the sea here, you can rinse off the salt in fresh water after your surf.
ACCOMMODATION
Welcome to our surf house in Aljezur - Odeceixe, located about 2,5 km from the Odeceixe beach.
You can choose from shared or private rooms.
On the ground floor there is a large living room, fully equiped shared kitchen, 1 room with 3 beds and private bathroom and 1 double bed room.
First floor has 3 rooms with 2 single beds with a shared bathroom.
Washing machine is available.
Outdoor BBQ and Terrace.
Free transfer from the house to the beach for our surf lessons.
SURFING
Have fun and learn how to surf!
Our instructors are local surfers certified by the Portuguese Surfing Federation, all of whom have lifeguard licenses and a huge knowledge of the region’s beaches and its conditions.
Lessons are two times per day.
The morning session starts at 11.00h (11 a.m.). The afternoon lesson is at 16.00h (4 p.m.).
These are indication times only as the instructors sometimes wait until the tide is in a better condition to go surfing.
One session lasts 1.5 hours.
Our private lessons give you one-on-one time with an instructor,
where we can identify skills that need improvement.
We can focus on green wave riding, paddling techniques, duck-diving,
and advanced surfing manoeuvres etc.
The choice is yours.
Note:
These lessons are best suited to beginner-intermediate to advanced surfers.

We have wide range of boards and quality wetsuits for you in different shapes, sizes, and specifications that improve your surfing experience.
Surfboard selection should be based on your size, ability, and location.
Beginners might want to start with a lightweight board with better control and maneuverability.
Experienced surfers might want a surfboard made for speed, while advanced surfers might look for boards designed for competitions and overall performance.
We will guide you in the right direction and help pick the perfect board for you.

We are licensed to run surf lessons at several beautiful beaches near Odeceixe.
We constantly monitor the wind and swell conditions to ensure we take you to the beach with the best, safest conditions for you.
OUR FAVOURITE BEACHES TO TEACH SURFING
ODECEIXE
Odeceixe beach has many waves on the ocean side, perfect for surfers and body boarders. This peaceful beach smells of rock roses. The top of the stone stairs is a perfect spot to watch the sunset and the landscape.
The river Ceixe in the middle of the sand sets the border between the Alentejo and the Algarve.
AMOREIRA
This beach lies at the mouth of the River of Aljezur, which forms a lagoon system of great natural beauty. Along the river you can walk through the sand dunes or hide from the wind.
At low tide, small pools are formed in the sand, which are a lot of fun for children.
ARRIFANA
This beach lies in a beautiful shell-shaped cove, sheltered from the cold north wind. There is a small group of fishing boats and the beach is long and narrow, being bordered by high black cliffs.
Arrifana is a popular beach among surfers and body boarders.
MONTE CLERIGO
At Monte Clerigo beach you can swim in the various natural pools that form amongst the rocks and are revealed as the tide goes out. Inland are some impressive sand dunes, lying on either side of the beautiful valley. There is a fabulous panoramic view to be enjoyed as you walk down to the beach.
