Our surf hostel is ideally located within a 2-minute walk from Carcavelos beach. This 2 floor hostel has a surfing school and offers free Wi-Fi access. Stay in affordable and comfortable rooms with bunk beds all with storage space and shared bathroom. Double bed with sea and garden view is another accommodation option. The spacious common lounge area of the hostel features comfortable sofas, TV, big table and more..
All our guests are welcome to prepare their meals in the fully equipped kitchen. Carcavelos is a trendy beach town which has the largest beach of the Lisbon-Estoril-Cascais coastline and one of the largest of the Lisbon region, with a 1.5km sandy shoreline.
The sea waters are fed by the Atlantic Ocean and are far away enough from the Tejo Estuary to be consistently clean, and are suitable for swimming or surfing in.
Along the beachfront promenade are numerous beach bars and cafes.
Carcavelos has decent medium-sized swells, which are ideal for beginner to medium surfers or bodyboarding.
During the autumn and winter, the waves tend to be more powerful and the beach is an excellent location for surfing.
Carcavelos is just 18 minutes drive from Lisbon and a 25-minute drive from scenic Sintra, or the Lisbon airport.
